I always had a strong interest in studying the overall health of the body, mind, and soul. In 2003, I moved from Balmoral, NB to Ottawa, ON to study psychology at the university of Ottawa. I recently moved to Moncton NB. For the past 10 years yoga has been my greatest support. Stepping on my mat allows me to step out of my head. It gives my thinking mind a break. I drop the story line and create space to feel and listen.
Focusing on the breath has allowed me to realize habitual patterns, such as holding stress in the body and the mind, and how to release the tension I carry from day to day in my body.
With a natural desire to help, and a desire to cultivate awareness, I completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training (2008) from The Rama Lotus Yoga Centre in Ottawa, Yin Yoga (2009) and Power yoga (2011) from Mark Laham in Ottawa. I have been practicing, growing, sharing ever since. I also completed Reiki Level 1 and 2 in 2016-17.
I adore my dog Frank. I love making everything. I write & draw. I grow plants and vegetables. my house is turning into a jungle. I love cooking and everything related to living a healthy lifestyle. I continue to learn through my personal practice. I'm constantly reading. I LOVE the beach and the ocean. I ALMOST FORGOT; I'm obsessed with crystals & gemstones. I have a huge collection. I always have some on me and everywhere in my house.
CREATE A NEW RYTHM Slowing down is important for growth. When you consciously breath, you stop focusing on everything else. That's when you really start to get to know yourself better.
Yoga increases flexibility in the Body and mind by allowing you to safely & lovingly approach the areas in your body where you feel stuck. When you practice regularly you start to observe recurring patterns. You are reminded to be present. It's about taking time for yourself & remembering to breath.
I strongly believe yoga is for everyone.
Allow yourself this time to stop focusing on everything else. Once you are on your mat, there is nowhere to go & nothing else to do.
